Moscow Ballet at Festival Theatre
After two sell-out performances in previous winter seasons, Moscow Ballet returns to Pitlochry Festival Theatre with one matinee (2pm) and two evening performances (7.30pm) of Sleeping Beauty, Friday 9 and Saturday 10 November
Originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and set to music by Tchaikovsky, this much-loved ballet premiered on 15 January 1890 in St. Petersburg and has remained a firm favourite with leading ballet companies and audiences around the world ever since.
Annie Hibberd, Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s General Manager for events takes up the story “I’m delighted we can present this spectacular three act ballet of a timeless tale, which will be fantastic, entertainment for all ages, to the highest of international standards”. |
