Pipe Band Meets Rock Band
The boys and girls (and their parents) of the Robert Wiseman Dairies Vale of Atholl Junior Pipe Band had a very interesting afternoon at the end of July.
While they were playing the guests in to a wedding at Murrayshall House Hotel, amongst those dressed in their finery, there were some very interesting characters who appeared from the hotel accomodation.
Enjoying listening to the band, they began taking photos and phoning their friends on their mobiles to let them hear the band play. It was Status Quo - in the area to play a concert at Scone Palace.! |

When their wedding duties were completed the young bandmen chatted to the celebrity musicians and were photographed with them when they had all signed the only bit of paper that they had to hand - a “Pitlochry Highland Night” poster! Together with the pictures this made a great souvenir of a really memorable occasion - as Tom Ironside's picture above shows.
